Dr. Linda Antas is a composer, arts technologist, flutist, and educator. Her compositions have been broadcast and performed around the world, appearing at numerous festivals and venues including the International Computer Music Conference (ICMC), the Society for Electroacoustic Music in the United States (SEAMUS), the Cittá di Udine International Composition Competition (Taukay Edizioni Musicali), Jornadas de Informática y Electrónica Musical (Madrid), Fifth International Congress Synaesthesia: Science & Art, Festival Internacional de Música Electroacústica, Ciclo de Música Contemporánea, Malpartida de Cáceres, New Adventures in Sound Art Festival, Studio 300 Digital Art and Music Festival, Bumbershoot, and Slingshot. Her work has been recognized by MuVi4, the Musica Nova International Competition of Electroacoustic Music, the Fulbright Foundation, the Bourges Electroacoustic Composition Competition. She has received commissions from the International Computer Music Association and various internationally-renowned performers. Her works are published on the Ablaze, TauKay, Centaur, EMS, and Media Café labels. She regularly collaborates with visual artists, architects, and scientists for creative and educational projects. Her current research involves audiovisual works, real-time interactive signal processing, sonification, and physical computing. She serves on the faculty of Montana State University, teaching music technology, interdisciplinary multimedia courses, and composition, and is currently Vice President for Membership of SEAMUS.
