International Week celebrated

Montana State University's SUB ballrooms will be transformed into an exotic banquet of tastes, aromas and visions during the acclaimed MSU International Street Food Bazaar set from 4 -7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24.

The celebrated annual campus event kicks off MSU World Week, the Office of International Programs' window on the world for the MSU and Bozeman communities. In subsequent days, members of MSU's international faculty, students and staff will present lectures, music, slide shows and sponsor cooking and cultural demonstrations on campus. Currently, 60 countries are represented on the MSU campus and many of those countries will be represented at the Bazaar or during weekly programs.

Monday, Feb. 26 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. -- Office of International Programs Study Abroad Information table. 12- 1 p.m.-- Uvidelio Castillo, MSU Plant Sciences and Plant Pathology Department presents "Venezuela, a country to Love" slide show.

Tuesday, Feb.27 11-2 p.m. -- Office of International Programs Study Abroad Information table. 12- 1 p.m. -- I-Ho Pomeroy Bozeman local restaurant owner, demonstrates cooking Korean foods. 1 - 2 p.m. "Blackthorn" Celtic Music Performance.

Wednesday, Feb. 28 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. -- Office of International Programs Study Abroad Information table. 12- 1 p.m. -- Yuichi Matsunaga from the Kumamoto Plaza in Helena presents a Japanese calligraphy and origami demonstration. Learn more about Kumamoto, Montana's Japanese sister state.

Thursday, March 1 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. -- Office of International Programs Study Abroad Information table. 12-1 p.m. -- Jill Spady will demonstrate Mehndi, the ancient art of henna hand painting. Stop by for a demonstration and make an appointment for a more elaborate design.
