METALES M5, Mexico's leading brass quintet, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, in Montana State University's Reynolds Recital Hall.

Alan Klaus, a member of the MSU School of Music faculty, will be guest trumpeter with the group.

M5 programs range from classical and world music, contemporary repertoire and pops arrangements, mixing the well-known with the unexpected.

Since its founding five years ago in Morelia, the capital of Michoacán in the Central Highlands of Mexico, the brass quintet has performed hundreds of concerts throughout Mexico, including a 30-concert tour through 10 states of Mexico and recent tours through the states of Veracruz and Tamaulipas.

M5 receives frequent invitations to renowned international music festivals. Their CD releases include "Está Cañón," and "BACH." Their performances are recognized for fine classical chamber music, showmanship, non-stop interaction with the audience and Latin American charm, making the concert a musical-theatrical performance.

Tickets to the performance are $10 for general admission and $5 for students. They are available at the door. Reynolds Recital Hall is located in Howard Hall, which is located across the street from the MSU Duck Pond.
