Joe Howard will discuss the past, present, and future state of optics in space Friday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m. in the Hager Auditorium of the Museum of the Rockies.

Howard serves as the lead optical designer for the James Webb Space Telescope, the successor to the Hubble Space Telescope.

The lecture is free and open to the public.
