In conjunction with the traveling exhibit "An Adventure in the Arts: The Permanent Collection of the Guild Hall Museum," the Museum of the Rockies and the School of Art will present a guest lecture by Richard Shiff, Effie Marie Cain Regents Chair in Art and director of the Center for the Study of Modernism at the University of Texas at Austin, on Thursday, April 5, from 6-7 p.m. at the Museum of the Rockies.

The lecture presents Shiff's latest work on Willem de Kooning, a leading American artist and key figure of the Abstract Expressionist School.

The event is free and open to the public. Shiff will sign copies of his new book, "Between Sense and de Kooning," after the lecture.
