MSU's annual Take Back the Night and Rock Against Rape will be held Thursday, April 12.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. in SUB Ballroom C with "Breaking the Silence," an art display focusing on empowerment. At 6 p.m. there will be a speak out where survivors and loved ones are invited to share their stories. A silent march, which is set to begin at 7 p.m., will depart the SUB and end at the Baxter Hotel in downtown Bozeman. The event will conclude with the fourth annual Rock Against Rape concert with music by Panther Car.

All events are free and the community is invited to participate.

Take Back the Night, part of April's Sexual Assault Awareness Month, is an international march and rally organized annually in local communities to raise awareness of violence against women, children and families.

Take Back the Night is organized by Men Stopping Rape and is sponsored by Students Against Sexual Assault, the VOICE Center, Sigma Phi Epsilon and Student Activities.
