BOZEMAN - Montana State University Extension specialists will have a booth at the Gallatin Valley Farmers' Market at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds Saturday, August 11, to help answer questions about plant diseases and food preservation issues.

Mary Burrows, MSU Extension plant pathologist, and Lynn Paul, MSU Extension Food and Nutrition specialist, will host the booth on August 11. They will assist with plant disease and food preservation questions. The specialists will also provide free MSU Extension factsheets and MontGuides on various issues.

"People are encouraged to bring plant samples and food preservation and food safety questions," said Toby Day, Extension horticulturist and Master Gardener coordinator. "The specialists in the booth this week offer a depth of knowledge for gardeners and home food preservers."

The Gallatin County Farmers' Market runs from 9 a.m. through noon on Saturdays through Sept. 8.
