BOZEMAN - Montana State University Extension specialists will have a booth at the Gallatin Valley Farmers' Market at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds Saturday, August 18, to help answer questions about weeds, insects, diseases and other general yard and garden issues.

Fabian Menalled, cropland weed specialist, will host the booth on August 18. He will assist with weed identification and answer questions pertaining to weed issues. The specialist will also provide free MSU Extension factsheets and MontGuides on weed identification and control.

"People are encouraged to bring plant samples to the booth for diagnosis or identification," said Toby Day, Extension horticulturist and Master Gardener coordinator. "If you want to know what plant is invading your garden, pasture or cropland, bring a sample of it to the Gallatin Valley Farmers Market this Saturday."

The Gallatin County Farmers Market runs from 9 a.m. through noon on Saturdays through Sept. 8.
