The Montana State University School of Music and MONSTER Studios open the Sunday Night Multimedia Series for the 2012-2013 school year with "Textures: a concert of sonic and multimedia art" set for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 7 in Reynolds Recital Hall.

The concert, which is free to the public, includes performances that explore visual and sonic textures in film, video, music and sonic art.

The concert will feature Bruce Conner's rarely screened 1981 short film, "Mea Culpa," with music composed by Brian Eno and David Byrne. The concert will also include works by MSU faculty composers Linda Antas and Jason Bolte, with a performance by MSU percussion professor Stephen Versaevel.

The MONSTER Studio is based in the music technology program in the MSU School of Music.

Reynolds Recital Hall is located in Howard Hall, across 11th Avenue from the MSU Duck Pond.
