The Montana State University Choir and Band will team up to present a program of great works and holiday favorites at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, in Reynolds Recital Hall.

The University Band, directed by Nathan Stark, conductor, will begin with two arrangements of Celtic folk songs. The band will continue with the ever-popular "Sleigh Ride" by Leroy Anderson, and conclude with a new composition intended to depict the mad holiday rush of shopping for that perfect gift.

The University Chorus, directed by Jon Harney, conductor, will perform selections by Mozart, Tallis, an arrangement of "El Besu," a tender Spanish folk set by Vincente Chavarria, and an adaption of "Ching-a-Ring Chaw" by Aaron Copland. Holiday selections will include songs by Mendelssohn, Victoria's "O Magnum Mysterium" and Eric Johnson's setting of the Annunciation chant, "Cuncti Simus."

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Tickets must be purchased at the door.

Reynolds Recital Hall is located in Howard Hall, across the street from the MSU Duck Pond.
