BOZEMAN - A one-day workshop on lean manufacturing techniques, also known as the Toyota Production System, will be offered Wednesday, May 15, in Ronan.

Offered by the Montana Manufacturing Extension Center and Lake County Development Corporation, the event will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ronan Community Center, 300 3rd Avenue NW.

The workshop will include a live factory simulation to let participants apply lean methods and observe their impacts as they learn key principles of cutting waste from processes. Lean techniques can often be implemented with little or no capital expenditures.
