BOZEMAN - Montana State University Extension specialists will have a booth at the Gallatin Valley Farmers’ Market at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds on Saturday, where they can adress questions about weeds, insects, diseases and other general yard and garden issues.

Toby Day, Extension horticulturist and Montana Master Gardener Coordinator, will be the guest specialist and can assist with tree and shrub identification and answer questions about cultivars pertinent to our planting area, as well as provide free MSU Extension factsheets and MontGuides.

“People are encouraged to bring plant or insect samples to the booth for diagnosis or identification,” said Day. “If you want to know what will grow in your area, or what plant is invading your garden, pasture or cropland, bring a sample of it to the Gallatin Valley Farmers Market this Saturday.”

The Gallatin County Farmers Market runs from 9 a.m. through noon on Saturday. It is the last one of the season.
