Montana State University student David Notti recently won the Army National Guard Soldier of the Year competition for the state of Montana, according to the Anchorage Daily News.

The paper noted that Notti joined the Army National Guard in 2010. As the winner of the statewide competition, he will compete in the regionals in May 2014.

Notti is from Anchorage, Alaska, and is a senior at MSU in business marketing.
