Noted musicians who graduated from BHS will perform at fundraising concert set Jan. 11 at MSU

Claire Young, a saxophonist who attends Bozeman High School, and a member of the Basement Jazz band, will be among the BHS students who will perform at the second annual BHS and Montana State University fundraising concert. Featuring past and present BHS students who have become noted musicians, proceeds from the benefit will support scholarships for current BHS musicians to attend the MSU School of Music. The second annual Bozeman High School at Montana State University fundraising concert featuring past and present BHS students is set at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11.  

Performers will include Stephanie Anderson, winner of the 2012 Montana Association of Symphony Orchestras Concerto Competition; Rebecca Anderson, winner of the 2013 MSU concerto competition; Julia Cory, MSU music professor and professional cellist; Ryan Matzinger, award-winning jazz musician and saxophone instructor at the MSU School of Music; members of Basement Jazz, an acclaimed all-female band of BHS students; and more.

Tickets for the benefit are $10, or $5 for students. Proceeds from the benefit will support scholarships for current BHS musicians to attend the MSU School of Music.  

Reynolds Recital Hall is located in Howard Hall, across the street from the MSU Duck Pond.
