A team of volunteers will deliver good neighbor bags on behalf of the Montana State University/Bozeman Good Neighbor Committee on Saturday, Feb. 7. The campaign will drop 500 bags on doorsteps of homes located on Michael Grove Avenue and Hunters Way between Babcock Street and Durston Road.
The reusable bags will contain tips on how to be a good neighbor, a community events calendar, Streamline and Skyline bus schedules, information about shoveling during the winter months, information about the volunteer income tax assistance (or VITA) program, and much more.
"We live in a vibrant community where year-round residents and students live side-by-side. The good neighbor bags aim to help bridge the differences between our student residents and full-time residents and help these neighbors work together,” said Amy Kanuch, MSU community relations specialist.
This is the eighth good neighbor bag distribution by the MSU/Bozeman Good Neighbor Committee, which consists of representatives from MSU, Associated Students of Montana State University, the City of Bozeman, Peak Property Management, the Downtown Bozeman Association and HRDC. The committee has already delivered more than 3,000 bags to households in Bozeman.
