BOZEMAN - Montana State University Extension and Rocky Creek Farm will host a giant pumpkin competition on Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon at Rocky Creek Farm in Bozeman.

“Although it wasn’t a superb year for growing big pumpkins, we still want to see who has the biggest in the area,” said Toby Day, MSU Extension horticulturist. “It is fun to see who will be crowned for 2015.”

The contest has a minimum weight of 50 pounds and pumpkins can be entered from 10:30-11 a.m. Winners will be announced at noon after the weigh-in and prizes will be given for first, second and third-largest pumpkins.

Rocky Creek Farm is located at 34297 Frontage Road, three miles east of downtown Bozeman. For more information, contact Rocky Creek Farm at (406) 585-0225.
