Montana State University is suggesting routes that will help students moving to   campus Aug. 24-26 to navigate traffic patterns changed for the university’s annual move-in period.

MSU officials have notified all incoming freshmen with instructions for efficient alternate routes. A map to recommended routes is posted online.

MSU expects that nearly 4,000 students will move into university residence halls during the traditional three-day move-in period.

James Tobin, assistant director for MSU Residence Life, said that this year MSU has assigned check-in times to all students checking into residence halls. Freshmen have been assigned times from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Aug. 24. Returning students may check in after 3:30 p.m. on that day. More information may be found on the Residence Life Move-In Day webpage:

MSU Residence Life has posted a specific mapping system utilizing Google Maps at http://www.montana.edu/reslife/documents/pdfs/residence_life-move_in_day-map-2016.pdf. Those streets with directional changes will be in effect from 8 a.m. through 6 p.m. Aug. 24-26.
