BOZEMAN — Montana State University has been named one of America’s 100 Best College Buys for its high-quality education at a low cost.

Institutional Research & Evaluation Inc., an independent research and consulting organization based in Georgia that specializes in recruiting and retaining students, compiled the ranking.

“We are delighted to be recognized for something that our students and their families have recognized for many years: Montana State University is an incredible value,” said Ronda Russell, MSU admissions director. “The exceptional education this university offers at an affordable price is one of the many reasons that more and more students continue to choose Montana State.”

MSU’s yearly costs for in-state students – which include tuition, fees, room and board – are currently $15,790, and the same costs for out-of-state students are currently $32,090.

Institutional Research & Evaluation, Inc., compiled its 26th annual ranking earlier this year after submitting a survey to 1,461 accredited U.S. colleges and universities offering four-year undergraduate degree programs and that provide room and board facilities. More than 1,100 schools responded to the survey.
