MSU Extension announces bi-weekly plant clinic

MSU Extension in Gallatin County will hold a plant clinic from 1-4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through Sept. 7, at the Bozeman office, located at 903 N. Black Ave, on the Gallatin County Fairgrounds.

BOZEMAN – Montana State University Extension in Gallatin County will hold a bi-weekly plant clinic from 1 - 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, now through Sept. 7. The clinic will be held at the Bozeman office, located on the Gallatin County Fairgrounds at 903 N. Black Ave.

Dara Palmer, assistant master gardener coordinator, will staff the plant clinic. Palmer holds a bachelor’s degree in horticulture and has more than 15 years of horticulture experience.

Questions from the public will be answered through phone calls and walk-ins. The public is encouraged to bring plant samples for identification or disease diagnosis. Yard and garden insect samples can also be brought in for identification.

Plant and insect samples can be dropped off at the Extension office during normal business hours, from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please note that the office is closed from noon to 1 p.m. Yard and gardening questions will be answered during clinic hours. The public can also call during clinic hours to have questions answered and to request yard and gardening information.
