The director of Montana State University’s Leadership Institute will lead a workshop designed to improve individual leadership skills from noon-1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, at MSU’s Strand Union Building Ballroom B.
Carmen McSpadden, who has dedicated her career to the enrichment of leaders of all ages at MSU and with nonprofit organizations such as Leadership Montana, will facilitate the workshop. Kregg Aytes, dean of MSU’s Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship and Micah McFeely, vice president of the Associated Students of MSU, will join her. Both panelists will share their tips, tricks and advice for how they manage so much and stay balanced in a busy world.
“This interactive workshop focuses on enjoying a better quality of life based on what is important to you,” McSpadden said. “Without a doubt, one of the toughest skills for many of us to master is how to say no to interesting opportunities, and even small ones, that are not in sync with our goals.”
She said participants will walk away with a greater understanding of how to identify and implement priorities based on their values and intentions.
Tickets for the workshop are $5 and may be purchased at http://www.tinyurl.com/y99cd8m6. Space is limited and registration closes Oct. 25. A light lunch is included.
The workshop is sponsored by the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship, the MSU Leadership Institute, the Office of the Provost, and the Associated Students of Montana State University. This workshop is held in conjunction with the MSU Leadership Institute’s 20th anniversary celebration.
