Wrightsman is one of four faculty members who will receive the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture award as one of the best collaborative projects in the country. The team of faculty and students at the University of Colorado School of Architecture, along with two nonprofit organizations, retrofitted a mobile home in the Mapleton Mobile Home Park of Boulder to create attractive, energy-efficient affordable housing. Wrightsman was involved in the project while affiliated with the CU. The ACSA award praises the trailer wrap project that "inspired and challenged students, contributed to the profession's knowledge base, and extended their work beyond the borders of academia into practice and the public sector."
The Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture is a nonprofit association consisting of 500 member college and universities that offer accredited degree programs in architecture in the U.S. and Canada.
Wrightsman and the three other faculty members will receive their award at a ceremony to be held in March in Portland, Ore.
