The MSU chapter of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and the MSU Humanities Institute present "The Stones Have Memories: The Rise and Fall of the Berlin Wall" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, in the Reynolds Recital Hall.

The event features a talk by David Large, a MSU professor of history who has written several books on Germany, and MSU photographer Kelly Gorham with music by Elizabeth Croy and Julie Gosswiller. A reception will follow.

The evening commemorates the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Large has toured the United States in recent months speaking on the subject. Gorham will display photos of Berlin's Cold War landmarks as a preview to an exhibit opening Nov. 9 in New York.
