Tommy Bass, livestock environment associate specialist with the Montana State University Extension Service, will provide an overview of environmental management of animal agriculture at the Sustainable Food and Bioenergy Systems Program seminar series to be held at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, in room 313 of Herrick Hall.

Bass's lecture will be "Manure Happens." Topics covered will include water quality, regional manure use and nutrient balance, enhancing soil carbon through manure and compost application, manure to energy potential, and organic and sustainable practices for
livestock production.
