A benefit celebration of the 80th birthday of Montana State University's Danforth Park is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, March 4, in Ballroom B of the Strand Union Building.

Students for Danforth Park, an MSU student group working to raise funds to protect and improve the historic campus park, have planned a variety of activities including a silent auction, presentations on the park and the influential women who founded it, live music, and a raffle for Collette Brooks-Hop's painting, "Spirit of Buffalo."

The event, which will kick off the MSU Women's Center's Women's History Month commemoration, is a fundraiser for planned improvements to Danforth Park.
