A series of wilderness medicine courses offered through Aerie Backcountry Medicine will be hosted by the ASMSU Outdoor Recreation Program this fall. The courses include Wilderness First Responder from Oct. 4 - Nov. 6, Wilderness First Responder Refresher on Nov. 12 and 13, and Wilderness First Aid on Nov. 12 and 13. An optional CPR certification will be offered on Nov. 11.

The wilderness medicine curriculum is designed to prepare participants to deal with emergency situations that may involve prolonged patient care in severe environments with improvised equipment.
