BOZEMAN -- The Montana Manufacturing Extension Center will hold a workshop on lean manufacturing techniques on Wednesday, April 28, in Bozeman.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the MMEC conference room at 2310 University Way, south of the football stadium at Montana State University. It includes a live factory simulation to let participants apply lean methods and observe their impacts.

Lean manufacturing can be implemented with little or no capital expenditures. During tough financial times, adopting lean manufacturing techniques can put a company in a better position as the economy bounces back. Registration is $195 per person. Lunch will be provided. Attendees must register in advance.

For more information, call the MMEC at (406) 994-3812 or visit www.mtmanufacturingcenter.com and click on the "scheduled training" link for details and online registration.

MMEC is an outreach center in the MSU College of Engineering, taking its support services to the workplace.
