Brock Alonzo and Gharett Meng, both recent graduates of Montana State University from Missoula, recently won 2010 Harold Watling Scholarships, which recognize outstanding achievement by senior pre-medical students at MSU. The awards are for $900 and were presented April 25 at MSU's Division of Health Sciences' Health Professions Spring Gala Award Ceremony and the initiation of Alpha Epsilon Delta, the health professions scholastic honorary society at MSU.

Alonzo and Meng both are graduates of Missoula's Sentinel High School and completed degrees this spring from MSU in biomedical sciences. Alonzo has been accepted to the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno, Nevada, and Meng plans to begin applying to medical schools in June.
