BOZEMAN -- A free public lecture on the dynamics of soap films will be given on Monday, June 7, at Montana State University.

H.K. Moffatt, Professor Emeritus of Mathematical Physics at the University of Cambridge, will speak at 4:10 p.m. in the Procrastinator Theater in the Strand Union Building. His lecture, titled "Dynamics of Soap Films: Energy Minimisation and Topological Jumps," is part of MSU's Mathematical Sciences Colloquium Series.

The Department of Mathematical Sciences, the dean of the College of Letters and Science, the Office of the Vice President for Research, Creativity and Technology Transfer, and the National Science Foundation are sponsoring the lecture.
