This is an opportunity for pest control advisers, farm managers, chemical company cooperators, and students to learn about ongoing crop and weed research programs at MSU. Attendees can receive Certified Crop Adviser CEU credits, and commercial and private applicator pesticide recertification credits.
Research and demonstration plots of weed management techniques, pesticide application strategies, nutrient dynamics, cropping systems, and crop traits will be open throughout the day with staff available to answer questions. Weed, nutrient, and cropping systems specialists will discuss results of their field trials.
Speakers will include Fabian Menalled, Ed Davis, Jane Mangold, Erik Lehnhoff, and Zack Miller on weed management, Phil Bruckner on spring wheat breeding, Clain Jones on soil nutrient management, Cecil Tharp on pesticide safety, and Perry Miller on diversified cropping systems.
