Montana State University Extension specialists will have a booth at the Gallatin Valley Farmers Market at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds Saturday, June 25, to help answer questions about weeds, insects, diseases and other general yard and garden issues.

Linnea Skoglund, MSU Extension plant disease diagnostician and Ruth O'Neill, MSU Extension insect diagnostician will host the booth on June 25. They will assist with plant disease and home and garden insect questions. The specialists will also provide free MSU Extension factsheets and MontGuides on various issues concerning plant disease and insect identification and control.

"People are encouraged to bring plant samples and insects to the booth for diagnosis or identification," said Toby Day, Extension horticulturist and Master Gardener coordinator. "This is a free service provided by the Schutter Diagnostic lab and MSU Extension. Both Ruth and Linnea are very knowledgeable and can help with plant or insect issues of all kinds."

The Gallatin County Farmers Market runs from 9 a.m. through noon on Saturdays through Sept. 10. There is no market on July 23.
