Policies - Student Fees

Fees

New Graduate Student Development Fee Degree seeking graduate students are assessed a $45.00 orientation fee by the Division of Graduate Education regardless of whether they are on campus or in a distance program. Students in the degree seeking program must pay this fee. This fee cannot be waived.

Program of Study Fee

Students seeking the Master of Education will be charged a $50.00 program of study filing. This charge will be reflected on the student account. This fee cannot be waived.

Degree Audit Fee

Students applying for graduation, by filing an "Application for Advanced Degree" will be charged a $20.00 Degree Audit fee by the Division of Graduate Education. This fee will be reflected on the student account. This fee will be charged every time that a student submits a program of study form to the Division of Graduate Education, regardless if a student completes his or her program. This fee cannot be waived.

Graduation Fee

All students submitting an "Application for Advanced Degree" will be charged a one- time $30.00 graduation fee. This fee cannot be waived and will be charged to the student account. Do not send payment along with your application.

MSU Cat Card (Student ID)

The MSU-Bozeman Cat Card System creates "Cat Card" ID cards which provide services and entitlement privileges for all MSU students, faculty, staff, gym users and affiliated MSU persons. The Cat Card serves as the Montana State University ID card, bearing student's photo, name and ID number. A one-time fee of $15.00 is charged for the card. Most new students pay this fee on their first fee statement. Students in the NPTT program may have the $15.00 fee waived if they contact the CatCard office to verify participation in our distance delivered program
