APA Writing Assistance

APA Style

The Northern Plains Transition to Teaching Program maintains the expectation that graduate students engaged in the program be familiar with and adhere to the style guidelines identified in the American Psychological Association's (APA) Publication Manual (currently the 6 the edition, this text is required for EDCI 552). In particular, correct formatting and use of correct citations is required in all NPTT courses.

Writing Assistance for Graduate Students

Graduate writing and the expectations for graduates relative to their writing skills are quite different from undergraduate writing. The MSU Graduate Writing Tutor is available to help students develop their writing skills. Contact the center to arrange an appointment with the Graduate Writing Assistant. It is strongly advised that you take early advantage of this free service to develop your writing skills, as they are very important in the NPTT program. Please see the Graduate Writing website for more information.
