Teacher Education Preparation Program (TEPP) Forms

All participants in this program must qualify to teach in a “teachable major”. You should have an earned Bachelor’s and/or graduate level degree(s) (or course work equivalent to a major) in at least one of these teachable areas. Once you qualify for a teachable major, you may then be able to add endorsable minors to your program and ultimately licensure. Download and complete the Teacher Education Preparation Program that matches the subject area major(s) and minor(s) you desire to teach. The subject areas identified below are currently the only areas in which MSU is are able to preparation students and provide recommendations for teacher licensure. NOTE: Broadfield and Extended majors can stand alone for completion of the program and licensure. If you qualify in a major area (not Extended or Broadfield), then you MUST also qualify in a minor area. It is recommended that you gain licensure in as many teachable areas as you are qualified for. Do NOT submit completed majors and minor forms for areas that you do not qualify for OR are close to being qualified for.

Complete the TEPP form(s) using copies of your transcripts to match comparable courses. The required courses are listed in the left hand column and you are to list your comparable courses, should there be an appropriate match, directly to the right of each required course. It is also possible to suggest course substitutions where you believe it appropriate (i.e. the title of the course you took may not match the course title identified on the TEPP form, but you believe the content matter covered to be equivalent). If you have courses in the subject area that do not directly match, then simply list them on the bottom of the form in the blank areas. There is a blank continuation page (*) available for your use to continue the list of electives.  E-mail the form(s) as an attachment to nptt@montana.edu.

Please note that different states offer different endorsement areas.  Please check with the state which you are interested in gaining licensure to ensure that you will meet their requirements for endorsement areas as well.

The State of Wyoming does not accept minors for licensure.

Your Application will not be reviewed without this form being complete and submitted to NPTT.

The below forms are in MS Word format. Please contact us if you do not have the ability to open or use them.
