Montana State University Bozeman College of Nursing has been awarded funding to host a visiting scholar from Sweden through the National Science Foundation Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research. This program provides an opportunity to expose a prominent researcher to the quality and diversity of research at MSU and provides an avenue for an expert researcher to participate and collaborate with students and faculty. The 2003 College of Nursing Visiting Scholar is Ingegerd Fagerberg, PhD, RN, from Sweden. Dr. Fagerberg is a geriatric nursing educator and researcher who also serves on the Council for Renewal of Higher education in Sweden.

Dr. Fagerberg is scheduled to visit and present on four MSU-Bozeman College of Nursing campuses and agencies from August 25 through September 5, 2003. Her one hour presentation titled Temporary confusion: A terrifying experience is scheduled as follows in two different locations: August 26 at 12NOON at St. Patrick s Hospital in Missoula, 500 West Broadway, Conference Rooms A,B,C and August 27 at NOON in Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls, 1101 26th Avenue South, in Rooms 2 & 3. These presentations are open to health care professionals and the public. In addition she will be engaged in various seminars with MSU-Bozeman College of Nursing faculty and students.
