Please join CONORS in congratulating the 2004 recipients of the Helen Jacobsen Lee Endowment. Each recipient has received $500 to conduct a nursing research project.
Congratulations to Linda Sobeck. Linda will be conducting research on Wilderness injury: Predictors of Montana Outfitters Preparedness and Injury Prevention Behaviors. Linda is currently in her first year in the Family Nurse Practitioner tract at MSU. After graduating Linda plans to continue her education by pursuing a Doctoral degree in nursing.
Congratulations to Laura Larsson. Laura will be conducting research on Community Leaders Perceptions of Environmental Health Risks. Laura is a distant student at the Oregon Health & Sciences University. She is in her second year of an MPH/PhD program and hopes to continue with teaching, writing, and research when she graduates.
Congratulations to Fredricka Gilje. Fredricka is conducting A Survey of Montana Nurse Educators Perspectives on Suicide. Fredricka is an Associate Professor on the Billings Campus. She teaches the senior level psychiatric mental health nursing course and is involved in some graduate courses and thesis advising. Her research includes the nurse s presence, decision-making among psychiatric nurses, suicide and consolation, geriatric and gerontological issues and trends in nursing education, and hospitality in nursing.
