College hosts cultural sensitivity and distance learning workshops May 22-23
Please join us on May 22 and 23, 2008 for two exciting workshops.
May 22nd:
Jillene Joseph, Director of the Native Wellness Institute in Portland, Oregon and a member of the Gros Ventre tribe of Montana will facilitate a cultural diversity workshop specifically for faculty and graduate students.
May 23rd:
Dr. Diane Billings, Chancellor's Professor Emeritus from Indiana University School of Nursing and grant consultant for MSU College of Nursing Clinical Nurse Leader option will provide a workshop for faculty and graduate students on effective distance teaching and learning strategies. She will highlight information specific for distant clinical supervision and students who are new to using distant learning technologies. Ms. Joseph will join Dr. Billings for the morning session to discuss effective communication strategies.
The workshops will be delivered from the Bozeman campus and accessible by teleconference, and interactive video from each local campus (see flyer).
