PURPOSE OF SCHOLARSHIP:
To provide scholarship assistance to nursing students at Montana State University College of Nursing in appreciation for the quality nursing care he received throughout his life.

VALUE: Varies based on interest accrued
- Recipients must be nursing students enrolled in the MSU-Bozeman College of Nursing.
- Recipients must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5.

The Tom Scharff Estate, as directed to his sister and personal representative, Toni Axell Scharff, was the donor of the scholarship. Tom (8/9/50 – 4/29/13) studied engineering at MSU in Bozeman. He had a deep respect for the nursing profession having been the beneficiary of quality nursing care throughout his life. It is this appreciation that caused Tom to direct his estate personal representative to establish a scholarship, at the time of his death, to benefit MSU-Bozeman nursing students.
The recipient of the scholarship will write a letter of thanks to the donor’s personal representative, a MSU graduate in Modern Languages and Literature in 1968.
The Undergraduate Program Assistant is responsible for processing the Scholarship Authorization Form (SAF).
