Cathy Klingaman Memorial Scholarship
PURPOSE OF SCHOLARSHIP:
Cathy Klingaman was a practicing nurse after receiving her degree from the University of Alaska, Anchorage in 1983. She had a long career as an ACU/ICU nurse as she and her family traveled the country due to her husband Jim's career as an Army Officer. In 2007, Cathy settled in Lewistown, Montana, with Jim following his retirement from the Army. Cathy continued her nursing career at the Central Montana Medical Center until her medical retirement in 2010. Due to her progressive illness, Cathy was treated by and inspired by the quality of care of her home health and hospice nurses. She forged strong bonds with her treating nurses and caregivers. Jim and their family and friends wish to honor Cathy and the excellent nurses and caregivers who treated her, by encouraging and assisting local students' goals of becoming Registered Nurses, thereby sustaining the availability of excellent nursing care in central Montana.
