Charge

Advise the President and the Vice President for Student Affairs on the intercollegiate athletic programs offered at MSU-Bozeman.

Voting Members: Four faculty and two student representatives.

Voting Ex Officio Member: Faculty Athletics Representative to the NCAA.

Nonvoting Members: One female athlete and one male athlete.

Nonvoting Ex Officio Members: Director, Athletics; Senior Woman Administrator, Athletics; Representative from MSU Athletic Scholarship Association.

Length of Term

Faculty serve three year, staggered terms, which are renewable for no more than 2 additional full, consecutive terms. Students and student athletes serve one year terms, for a maximum of 3 consecutive full terms.

Appointed By

All faculty members are appointed by the President. Faculty members are nominated by Faculty Council. Student members are appointed by the ASMSU president. Student-athlete members are elected by the SAAC (student-athlete advisory council).
