The table below shows the distribution of new and continuing students by full-time and part-time status during the period Fall 1995 though Fall 2006. New students are those admitted for the stated fall semester. Continuing students are those who either have been in continuous attendance or have been readmitted after an absence of one or more semesters. Students may also be admitted during spring semester or summer session, but the number of new admissions is much lower during those terms. Freshmen, transfers, and graduate students are those working toward a degree; nondegree students are those not pursuing a degree at MSU.
