Five Year Vision
Strategic Planning Committee
During the 2003-2004 academic year, MSU developed a five year vision document to guide University planning and budgeting. After two years of work on achieving that vision, MSU began the innovative task of refreshing the goals for each new five-year horizon, adding goals as the community moves in new directions and revising or removing goals we have achieved. The Strategic Planning Committee, in an advisory role to the University Planning, Budget, and Analysis Committee and with representation from all sectors of the university, now updates the vision document each year, always looking five years ahead.
At any given time we may be reaching for several progressively higher thresholds. The links on the left present our progress, with the vision document, a progress report, and supporting information for each five year period.
