Gordon has been using precision agriculture for eight of his approximately 60 years of ranching and agriculture. He utilizes ArcView software with a Garmin GPS receiver for mapping pasture boundaries on a cow/calf operation. The ability to locate and control weeds as well as obtaining animal unit calculations are just a few of the benefits he reaps from precision agriculture practices, and he is willing to help newcomers with digital soil survey databases, data acquisition and ArcView software help.
