Enterprise IT Governance

The Enterprise IT Governance Council is currently being developed. The purpose of the EITGC is to ensure that institutional priorities are driving IT solutions rather than IT solutions driving institutional priorities.

EITGC members are stewards of the enterprise, promoting the strategic success of the MSU system and each of its unique campuses, as a whole greater than the sum of its parts. EITGC members have the decision-making authority to speak for all facets of their campus and implement EITGC decisions.

Each campus is developing its own IT Governance Council that folds into the enterprise governance structure. Campus IT Governance Councils report to and implement the directives of the EITGC, advise campus IT practitioners on institutional needs, prioritize institutional needs for IT implementation and monitor progress.

The PMO supports the Enterprise IT governance structure.
