Stephen Pedersen, Undergraduate Student in Chemical and Biological Engineering
Stephen is working on longterm LTER underwater PAR data from the McMurdo Dry Valley lakes as part of the Undergraduate Scholars Program through MSU. The topic of his research project is: Analysis of long term photosynthetically active radiation in McMurdo Dry Valley lakes to identify turbidity stratification patterns.
He is also working on analyzing LTER samples (particulate cabron, nitrogen and phosphorus), and will work as part of the Field Team in Antarctica collecting Limnological Samples during the 14-15 field season.
--This project is funded by an NSF REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates).
