This agreement covering certain tenured and tenure-track faculty positions is entered into by the Commissioner of Higher Education as agent for the Board of Regents of Higher Education on behalf of Montana State University hereinafter referred to as "Commissioner" or "Employer" and the Associated Faculty of Montana State University (AFMSU) [Local 7734] hereinafter referred to as the "Association" or "AFMSU". Its goals are the furtherance of quality education, research, creative activity and service. This agreement is in accordance with the Public Employees Collective Bargaining Act (MCA Title 39). The purpose of this agreement includes but is not limited to establishing the terms and conditions of employment in regard to working conditions, compensation, benefits and the establishment of an equitable procedure for the resolution of grievances.
