Resources for Returning Students

This is the academic entry point for undergraduate students. Applications for admission, the undergraduate bulletin, and information on residency for fee purposes are available here. Campus tours and special on-campus events help prospective students to learn first-hand about an MSU education. SUB 201, 994-2452.

Women's Center

The Women's Center is a drop-in center with a library, file materials and publications addressing the development and resource needs of women of all ages. A trained student staff is available to assist and offer consultation to currently enrolled and prospective students. Referrals to other campus and community resources are made and information about special scholarships for re-entry women is available. Personnel offer programs, lectures, films and workshops of interest to students in transition. SUB 372, 994-3836.

Housing Resources

Residence Life/University Food Services: The following on-campus options are available through Residence Life/University Food Services, 994-2661.

  • Family and Graduate Housing: The University provides a variety of houses and apartments for married students, for students who have dependents living with them, and for graduate students.

  • Older Student Housing: North and South Hedges residence halls each feature floors especially designed for students 21 and older. These floors, as well as all of Johnstone Center, provide an atmosphere more favorable to the needs of our non-traditional population. The programming in these areas is more focused toward career planning and activities that keep the environment conductive to studying.

  • Off-campus housing: Associated Students of Montana State University (ASMSU) provides a bulletin board listing of available off-campus housing. Rental listing of houses, mobile homes, apartments and rooms are posted and updated daily. SUB 281, 994-2933.

Financial Aid

The Office of Financial Aid Services administers national, state, local and MSU financial aid awards, both government and private. Start here to determine your eligibility for financial assistance. SUB 183, 994-2845.
