Students

The opportunity for students to do their own research and scholarly projects sets Montana State University apart from other universities. Whether it's studying the history of the Irish potato famine for a literature course or building a miniature satellite for space launch, students at MSU become personally involved in the process of discovery. The experience not only shapes the learning experience but also steers students toward career paths.

The Pre-Award Office can help identify funding sources for student research. Specific opportunities for undergraduate research can be found in this section as well as opportunities for graduate research. Another way to get hands-on experience is through internships and scholarships. To read news stories about MSU students and their projects click here.
