Moving In

Residence Life
Move In Day Picture

We realize that moving into the residence halls is a new and exciting time in your life. To help MSU students and parents with the logistics of getting settled, hundreds of MSU Faculty and Staff volunteer their time to unpack your car, load carts, and haul boxes.

When you arrive to your assigned residence hall, Residence Life staff members (inclusive of Resident Advisors, Resident Directors and Program Assistants) will be waiting to help you through the administrative processes necessary to get your room key. Staff members train for months prior to your arrival to ensure you have a positive transition.

In your room, you will find the following furnishings: a mattress pad, pillow, extra long twin bed (regular twin bed in the Quads and NH Suites), closet, trash can, desk, and chair. A weekly linen exchange for University furnished linens is provided for all students at no additional charge.
