Coming to us from Denver, CO, Melany joins the MSU Residence Life Team for her third year and
second year in South Hedges Hall. This is her fourth year as a Resident Director and 8th year
in Residence Life and Housing. She received her undergraduate degree in Social Sciences
(primary Sociology, secondary History) and a minor in Speech from Mesa State College in
Grand Junction, Colorado. While at Mesa State College, Melany started out in Resident
Hall Association (RHA) as a hall council member, then went on to be Programming Coordinator,
President of RHA, Assistant Resident Director, and eventually Resident Director. After graduating,
Melany moved to London, England were she was a Resident Assistant for American students studying
abroad. She started her Master’s Degree in Education – Student Affairs at MSU-Bozeman last Spring.
Melany has enjoyed being a MSU bobcat and is looking forward to another great year while fostering
student growth development.
