Tammie Brown
Director of Residence LifeTammie's 31 years of Residence Life experience includes 25 years with MSU. She is responsible for the Residence Life Department, as well as Family & Graduate Housing. As she directs and manages the MSU Housing Enterprise, she works with the staff that delivers programs and services which enhances the academic and socal success of the studetns living on campus. Her goal is to provide a positive and productive experience for students - one that will be filled with new friendships and opportunities as they make MSU their "home away from home."
Tammie is a fourth generation Montanan whose grandparents homesteaded in McCone County. Although she has lived in Bozeman for 25 years, she still claims Helena as her hometown. Tammie earned a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.S. in Personnel & Guidance from Eastern Montana College (Montana State University - Billings). Her time outside of work is spent enjoying the beautiful Gallatin Valley with activities that include camping, fishing, gardening, snowmobiling, and cross country skiing.
Jeff Bondy
Associate Director of Residence LifeIn his role as the Associate Director of Residence Life, Jeff assists with efforts to improve student satisfaction/retention, oversees the campus-wide community development program, supervises the academic living/learning centers, and helps provide leadership and supervision to the Residence Life staff. He received a Masters degree in Public Administration from Montana State University in May of 2000.
Jeff enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing softball, rooting on the Bobcats, and coaching youth baseball in the summer.
Tricia Rabel
Assistant Director of Residence LifeIn her role as the Assistant Director of Residence life, Tricia assists with efforts to improve student satisfaction and retention, supervises hall administrative functions, oversees the housing management software, and helps provide leadership to the Residence Life staff. Tricia holds a Masters degree in Organizational Leadership from the College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Nebraska. She has previously served as an Assistant Director of Student Involvement and Area Coordinator at Midland Lutheran College (Fremont, Nebraska) and as a Residence Hall Coordinator at Central Washington University (Ellensburg, Washington). Outside of work, Tricia enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, politics, and traveling.
James Tobin
Assistant Director of Residence LifeIn his role as the Assistant Director of Residence life, James supervises the tasks and staff of the Central Office Administrative Staff, develops and manages the marketing and publication efforts of the department, and helps provide leadership to the Residence Life staff. James holds a Master�s degree in Counseling and Student Development from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. Before serving as the Assistant Director he was a Resident Director for 5 years at MSU and worked as an Assistant Residence Life Coordinator at Kansas State University. In his spare time he enjoys hanging out with friends, catching a good movie, golfing and hitting the slopes in the winter time.
Matt Crosby
Program Coordinator IIIn his role as Program Coordinstor II, Matt oversees several Residence Life programs including early move-in, summer and break housing, the weekend student custodians, international student arrival, and the StarRez housing software. He also assists with customer service and administrative needs in the Residence Life central office. Matt grew up in Montana and received a B.A. in Political Science from Montana State University while serving as a Resident Advisor and Assistant Resident Director. In his spare time, Matt enjoys biking, hiking, rap music, and spending time in the woods.
Jaime Sumner
Program Coordinator IIn her role as Program Coordinator I, Jaime provide customer service to our students and parents that have questions or concerns about room assignments or student account issues. In addition, she facilitates all of the room assignment process, contract release and exemption procedures and our Housing Ambassador program.
Jaime graduated from Carroll College in 2005 with a degree in psychology. She brings customer service experience working in Conference Services at Carroll College and as a loan default prevention counselor for the Montana Guaranteed Student Loan Program. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing and live music.
Luke Forney
Administrative Associate IIIIn his role as Administrative Associate III, Luke works to make the front office a helpful resource for students, parents, and staff. He also assists the Residence Life director team, works with students to make their residence hall living experience the best it can possibly be, and helps in the student judicial process.
Luke graduated from Montana State University in 2011 with a degree in Literature. Having worked for University Food Service for the past five years, Luke brings a background deeply entrenched in the daily aspects of student living on campus. When not working, Luke spends his time exploring Yellowstone with his wife, reading, and watching sports.
Blake Stemen
Administrative Associate IIAs Administrative Associate II, Blake helps provide support to the director team and ensures quality customer service for everyone passing through the front office. He also manages the department's solitations, schedules the hall academic centers, and maintains guest housing reservations.
Blake graduated from Montana State University in 2011 with a degree in Health and Human Development. Having lived on campus for 6 years and worked as a desk clerk for 4 years, Blake brings a familiarity with the department and the Bozeman area. In his spare time, he loves to spend time with friends, exploring the outdoors and reading a good book.
